U.S. Goverment Trying To Pass Download Fee

the u.s. government is currently lobbying with help from universal and EMI to add a 75$ fee to your ipod that would in return pay the music industry for using the music whether it is legal or not. what are some thoughts?

  2. I believe that the gov't would probably shave off A LOT of that money to keep for themselves.

  4. They should just implement the thing were you would pay a monthly fee to listen to all music. I would be soooo down for that.

  7. Meh it doesn't bother me because with my EVO I don't even use my ipod anymore. Plus it dies the other day. So I'm ipod-less for now. But it would make sense for them to try and "make-up" for the so called millions the music industry has lost due to piracy.

  8. It will never pass, it is a frivolous attempt to gain more money. There are hundreds of these made every year and they very rarely are passed.

  9. I don't think this will ever come into fruition. Just something for the music industry to erk listeners.

  10. @pft public domain art is when the copyright on the art is no longer existing which causes it inn return to be public domain

  13. People should support bands they like but i understand why people pirate. This fee however is rediculous
